9ISS will be hosting exhibitions at the China National Silk Museum and the Heng Lu Gallery in Hangzhou.

Exhibitions will show examples within the following subjects: Resist Dyeing in Archeology, World Shibori and Asian Ikat, Contemporary Art of Shibori and Ikat, and ISS Archive Exhibition- A History of ISS. A display of Wang Xu’s Research on Chinese Za ran/Zahran will be shown and New Beat: International Student Concours Exhibition which will be hosted by ITC at HKPU and curated by Kinor Jiang. 中国古代 Replicas of Costume in Chinese Paintings will be sponsored by Jin Ze Arts Centre and displayed at the Xiangxian Art Gallery.

    What is the difference between the Fiber Art & Shibori, and the Contemporary Shibori exhibition – is it just a matter of space, or is there a particular distinction (like the wool fiber section in the HK symposium exhibition)? Just wondering…
